On June 13, the membership of Faith Baptist Church voted to call Pastor Steve Roper as our new senior pastor. Born and raised in Marion, Ohio, Pastor Steve graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1988 and went on to The Ohio State University where he graduated in 1992 with a BA in Communications.
Upon graduating from OSU, Pastor Steve worked in banking for 5 years before receiving his call to full-time ministry. In 1997, he entered Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio where he completed his Master of Divinity degree in 1999.

Pastor Steve is married to Sheila, his high school sweetheart. They have been married for 13 years. They are the proud parents of two boys, Caleb and Joshua.

Pastor Steve enjoys softball, golf, and wathcing the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns. He likes spending time with Sheila and the boys and also likes watching home improvement shows, MASH, and Law & Order.

He has been influenced by Christian authors such as Max Lucado, Charles Ryrie, Steve Farrar, Paul Little, Charles Swindoll, Bill Hybels, and Henry Blackaby.

Pastor Roper began his full time ministry here at Faith on August 1st. This is an exciting for Faith Baptist Church and we would welcome you to join us!!!!!
